Job Description:
Position Summary - The group is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage specific areas of its several entities Accounting. The position is to perform all accounting activities across the specific entities including Month End Close preparation and reporting and also drives cooperation and communication with other functional leaders. The Senior Accountant works independently and to takes full ownership on the assigned areas of responsibilities. The position reports directly to the Manager Accounting.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform the end-to-end activities in the Account-to-Report processes according corporate policies and in accordance to US Gaap standardsEnsure accurate and timely month-end reporting, meet all corporate and regional deadlinesDevelop subject matter expertise to provide guidance across the assigned Account-to-Report areaUnderstand the balance sheet & income statement impacts of every transaction to challenge or propose material accounting judgmental entries when relevantResponsible for adjustments and resolves problems within company guidelines and given policyPerforms account reconciliations for assigned area of responsibilitiesProvide cover for other accounting functions as requestedKey user for specific finance systems including maintenance of respective approval matrix, training and support of department users and documentationSupport on internal and external Audits including SOX Testing and internal controlsEnsure documentations (Guidelines, Manuals) are complete and up-to-dateRegular focus on Balance sheets to minimize open itemsSupport group wide finance projectsExperience, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, or Education Required:
Higher degree in business administration or equivalent finance specific degree, CPA/ACCAStrong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and processesAccount to Report knowledge and experience is preferredExperience in a multinational corporation desirableExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishGood level in any other European language would be an asset Ability to identify areas of improvement and to drive necessary action to completionDemonstrate sound work ethics, respect and cultural sensitivity and awarenessSAP, Hyperion, US-GAAP, SOXCritical Knowledge and Qualifications:
