Description Our client, a growing organization in the Food Manufacturing industry is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-permanent basis. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals. Requirements Requirements of the Position: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or senior-level roles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles. Experience with financial reporting, audits, and internal controls. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with high attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to meet tight deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes in a dynamic work environment. Prior experience in Manufacturing, Food Distribution, or Consumer Goods, is a plus.
