Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Senior Accountant role with a growing Reno based family office. The position will have accounting and reporting responsibilities for a variety of entities (trusts, small businesses, investments) and will interact with a variety of management and staff level professionals internally and externally. The role will include everything from general ledger work to preparing full sets of financials on a quarterly basis, assisting with the execution of complex financial transactions and implementing internal controls. Collaborating with the Big 4 external auditors, connecting across company entities and internal staff to lead projects and an overall ability to manage relationships and communicate is critical. The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA, and at least 5 years of related experience. This is a strong individual contributor role with upward mobility. Requirements • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, is required, a Master's degree or CPA is preferred. • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant. • Proficiency in maintaining and managing general ledger accounts. • Extensive experience in financial reporting with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Demonstrated skills in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements. • Proven expertise in conducting internal control reviews to ensure compliance with financial regulations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • High level of integrity and professionalism.
