Description We are in search of a Senior Accountant in Carlsbad, California, United States. As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities ranging from cost analysis and financial reporting to inventory monitoring and reconciliation. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and data-driven decision making. Responsibilities: • Analyze and record data collected from business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor to determine costs. • Monitor and reconcile finished goods inventories and conduct physical inventories. • Assist in the month-end close of the General Ledger. • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements. • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, and determine their effects on cost. • Provide management team with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. • Maintain a Cost Accounting System. • Record cost information for controlling expenditures. • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. • Create estimates of new and proposed product costs. • Conduct audits of costs and prepare reports. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required. • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must. • Proficiency in managing General Ledger is required. • Experience in making Journal Entries is necessary. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience with Month End Close is necessary. • Knowledge of NetSuite is a must.
