Description We are actively searching for a Senior Accountant to be a part of our team, based in San Diego, California. The Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for handling various accounting tasks, including cash receipts, sales journals, account receivables, and bank reconciliations. This role also involves maintaining files for contracts, insurance, financials, budgets, taxes, assets, audits, and reconciliations. Responsibilities • Accurately balancing cash receipts journals with deposits • Ensuring the alignment of sales journals with batch listings • Balancing Accounts Receivable agings with sales and receipts • Recording journal entries for sales • Updating Dues amortization schedule and recording income through journal entries • Preparing journal entries to record liabilities and assets from service center billing • Conducting bank statement reconciliations • Recording earned interest on bank accounts • Balancing IC Verify merchant deposits with bank statement • Recording accrued tax liabilities on a monthly basis • Preparing reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts • Computing and posting journal entry for G & A allocations • Maintaining files for contracts, insurance, financials, budgets, taxes, assets, audits, and reconciliations • Processing payroll with third-party supplier • Performing fixed asset inventory • Preparing quarterly sales tax reports • Preparing annual property tax report • Providing information for internal and external audits Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required • Must be skilled in Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with General Ledger management is essential • Ability to handle Journal Entries accurately and efficiently • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes • Must be capable of managing Month End Close tasks • Experience with Sage Accounting Software is a plus • Must have knowledge of Intercompany Transactions handling Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
