In this role you will work within the Accounting team to deliver the necessary accounting and reporting requirements expected within a large complex organization. The role will be involved in General Ledger accounting, controlling and reporting, EU taxonomy, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), compliance, tax, statutory and multiple general accounting and reporting activities, along with a range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the company.
Areas of Responsibility:
Control and manage the accuracy of the General Ledger for the required companies
Complete all relevant month end financial close procedures including necessary accruals and prepayments activities, multiple reconciliations and variance analysis
Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to the US head office
Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls
Part of EU taxonomy and CSRD implementation team and ultimately responsible for annual compliance
Report up to corporate on EU taxonomy and CSRD
Statutory accounting and corporation tax requirements for the required companies
Statutory/Corporate reconciliations and European consolidation activities
Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List Reporting, submission of Vat Returns and related compliance
Manage audit and compliance activities across the team
Support other accountants within the wider team on a variety of tasks in order to meet the total needs of the finance department
Drive development of new/efficient processes/procedures within the accounting team
Own and deliver all company changes to policy, processes and projects for the team and related countries
Own and deliver all externally driven changes, such as changes in regulation and any other changes
Collaborate effectively with different parts of the business as required
Be part of a strong accounting team, engaging in meetings and discussions, driving projects, inputting ideas and supporting the progress and goals of the full accounting team.
Participating in financial and business projects
Provide advice and guidance on accounting and financial implications to the business teams

High level usage of Excel and data manipulation

Languages, Fluent English plus appropriate European languages for the countries being managed is preferred.

Experience & Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant with recognised accounting qualifications. USGaap, IFRS, Country Specific Gaap.
Actual hands on experience of the full range of accounting activities over 7+ years
Very Strong Excel, Finance System and Data Manipulation experience.
