MAU is hiring a Senior Accountant for Hubner in Mount Pleasant, SC. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee financial operations, including generating financial statements, managing compliance and audits, handling accounting transactions, optimizing finance processes, and supporting capital investments while also coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective financial management. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k matching Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting, OR 10 years of strong accounting experience in lieu of a degree General Requirements In-depth knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow accounting Strong understanding of cost and managerial accounting Proficient in SAP for finance and accounting functions Ability to work effectively within a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize shifting demands Familiarity with standard office technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Essential Functions Generate monthly and yearly financial statements, along with compiling monthly GM reports Ensure compliance with audits, statutory requirements, and taxes under various laws and regulations Perform daily accounting transactions, including payment invoices, checks, wires, cash receipts, deposits, bank reconciliations, and journal entries to the general ledger Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including 3-way matching, aging analyses, debit & credit notes, and collections Manage treasury functions, including cash investments, credit cards, and fraud protection files Supervise financial planning, internal controls, and risk analyses Support capital investments for machinery, equipment, and building improvements, along with making decisions on purchases, leases, and outsourcing Act as liaison to the Finance & Controlling department in Germany Develop and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize finance processes Oversee job development credits and manage other government incentive programs Manage SAP processes related to finance, accounting, and controlling activities Generate annual reports for group reporting, transitioning from US GAAP to German GAAP Collaborate closely with auditors on annual financial statements and transfer pricing matters Optimize finance processes with a focus on automation Perform other duties as assigned based on skill level and corporate needs
