Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team. This individual will be responsible for managing business lines including real estate development, capital investment, and other areas as directed.
ResponsibilitiesLead full cycle accounting responsibilities for the applicable business lines ensuring accurate and timely results are provided to the business.Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and various other reports.Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and periodic cash flow statement.Prepare covenant calculations for external bank reporting requirements.Liaise with operations management on accounting issues.Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed on a timely basis.Maintain effective internal controls, identify risks, and propose recommendations for required control changes as necessary.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, prioritizing automation where possible.Build great working relationships with the business to promote synergies.Support the annual external financial statement audits and tax filing requirements.Perform other accounting duties as required including researching appropriate accounting treatment for unique transactions.Essential Skills3+ years in a similar role as an Accountant responsible for complex inter-company transactions and reconciliations, dealing with multiple currencies, foundational debits and credits, bank reconciliations, and cash flow consolidation and preparation.CPA designation or equivalent (ACCA, ACA, US CPA).Knowledge of ASPE/GAAP accounting principles.Strong communication skills for interacting with multiple departments.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in large data analysis and Excel (Pivots, Vlookups, Xlookups).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with the ERP system MS Dynamics 365.Strong financial analysis skills.Independent with a positive attitude.Willingness to learn.Strong team player.Curious and ambitious.High-performing and growth-oriented.Analytical problem solver.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
