Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant is integral in maintaining the integrity of the organization's financial operations. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the daily review of general ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliations. Additionally, this position oversees the integration of loan and deposit application systems with the general ledger suite. Why Join This Team? Reconciliations + Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of accounts, ensuring discrepancies or reconciling items are promptly identified and brought to the attention of the Controller/Chief Accounting Officer. + Proactively monitor GL accounts through daily review of system-generated reports. + Recommend and implement resolutions for identified issues in a timely manner. 2. Payroll Management + Oversee company-wide payroll processing, including employee-initiated changes to the payroll vendor (excluding new onboarding and open enrollment changes). + Ensure timely submission, review, and approval of employee timecards by supervisors prior to payroll processing. 3. Accounts Payable + Supervise the receipt, input, and routing of bank invoices. + Ensure all vendor documentation conforms to state and federal requirements, such as W-9 forms, ACH payment information, and OFAC-screening. + Effectively manage vendor data within the Bank’s vendor management platform, ensuring proper GL account selection and compliance with internal policies. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in the financial services industry. + CPA preferred. + Familiarity with payroll operations and wage taxation standards. + Proficiency in Fiserv or similar loan and deposit core systems. + A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry. + Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to concisely present findings and recommendations. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and strong spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel). + Proven ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and resolve issues effectively. + Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. + A proactive mindset to identify potential risks and visualize effective solutions. + Availability for limited local travel.
