Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating and completing month-end closing procedures, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data. This role will support the Controller and Corporate Accounting Manager with special projects and process improvements, as well as assist with the annual external financial audit.

ResponsibilitiesFacilitate and complete month-end closing procedures including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.Research and determine the most effective means of handling accounting transactions.Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements by department, and statements of cash flow.Analyze financial statements to identify variances in the P&L against budget and meet deadlines in accordance with a month-end closing calendar.Manage accounts within the ERP system for general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables.Coordinate meetings with the Corporate Accounting Manager and financial analysts to communicate general ledger activity in relation to department budgets.Support the Controller and Corporate Accounting Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements.Assist the CFO and Controller with the annual external financial audit.Research, develop, and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting practices including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.Experience with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation.Strong analytical skills to analyze financial statements and identify variances.Knowledge of ERP systems for managing accounts payable and receivables.Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with financial managers and analysts.Understanding of GAAP and ability to develop and maintain accounting policies.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with NetSuite ERP system is a plus.Work Environment

This position requires onsite work at the corporate headquarters. The role involves working closely with the Controller, Corporate Accounting Manager, and other financial personnel. The work environment is collaborative and focused on achieving accurate and timely financial reporting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
