We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in San José, Costa Rica. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, managing complex accounting processes, and providing crucial support to financial management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance, along with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will:
Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, or NIIF standards. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries. Oversee general accounting functions, providing support to financial management. Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. Maintain a thorough understanding of Costa Rican tax regulations, auditing requirements, and fiscal laws. Ensure compliance with Free Trade Zone regulations (if applicable). Manage and analyze cash flow, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Utilize and maintain accounting software, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operationsYou have:
3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, treasury, cash flow management, or finance B1 level English proficiency. Proven experience in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and closing processes. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, NIIF), tax regulations, and financial compliance. Proficiency in accounting software. Advanced cash flow management expertise. Knowledge of taxation, auditing, fiscal regulations, and Free Trade Zone laws. Strong attention to detail and organizational and analytical skills. Leadership and teamwork abilities. Effective communication and time management. Financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
