Summary of This Role

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the correct and timely execution of the monthly closing activities, along with other business streams to maintain the daily operation records aligned with the Mexican regulation and accounting principles of the United States (US GAAP). You will be responsible for the compliance of SOX procedures, performing analysis of accounts and financial reports. 

What Part Will You Play?

Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner, adhering to applicable policies and procedures.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, and ensure that all assigned activities are properly carried out in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with local and USGAAP rules and regulationsIntercompany transactions analysis, reconciliation and proper follow up.Responsible for payroll and all compensation employee benefit accounting. Payroll reconciliation for tax and accounting purposes. Support and coordinate external and internal audit work, ensuring deadlines are met.Monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and income statements.Monitor compliance with SOX controls in the accounting area.Collaborate with the tax department by providing the necessary accounting information for SAT requirements.Collaborate with in-house teams: Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, Accounting, to maintain a control environment for intercompany transactions. Identify process improvement opportunities, with a focus on automating manual spreadsheet preparation, enabling team members to focus on value added functions.


What Are We Looking for in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

US GAAP Accounting experienceDemonstrated skills with controlling processes.Payroll accounting.What Are Your Desired Skills and Capabilities?Job Complexity - Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.Builds productive internal/external working relationships.Knowledge and experience in Payroll accounting.A “Can-Do” attitude and willing to acquire new knowledgeA Team Player.Preferred knowledge in Oracle system.Proficiency in Google Sheets, MS Excel, Google Docs, Google Slides, MS Word etc.Ability to work with new software / technology and working to provide ideas to improve pre-existing processes
