Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Investment Accountant position with a large family office in Reno. The role is part of a team that performs all accounting, reconciliation, record keeping, and investment performance reporting for diversified investment portfolios that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets.  Process daily cash transactions and reconcile internal reports against the custodian and manager records  Review general ledger and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed  Process accounts payable invoices  Process money movement transactions with the custodian bank  Assist in the preparation of lead sheets and accounting schedules related to the quarterly and annual financial statements  Able to answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data  Identify opportunities to improve business processes, recommending changes  Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested Eligible candidates should have:  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field  CPA preferred or minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience  Proficiency in technology, with emphasis on data analytics (Excel, Power BI, etc.)  Demonstrate strong critical thinking and the ability to communicate succinct ideas using relevant information and data  Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail  Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines, and able to prioritize  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders  Ability to work independently or in a team environment The company offers 100% paid by the employer medical/dental/vision coverage for the employee and their dependents; 3 weeks of vacation; sick time; a 15% retirement contribution; flexibility; and the opportunity to work in a sophisticated, global business environment with opportunities for advancement.
