Active Day has a GREAT opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team at our Trevose, PA office.

**Hybrid Role**

 

Compensation up to $78,000 based on experience


We are the premier provider of adult day health services and as a Senior Accountant for Active Day you will report directly to the VP of Finance, in our corporate office in Trevose, PA. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

 

It is a very exciting time at Active Day:  We are focused on growth and expansion, and the successful candidate will play an integral part and have an abundance of opportunities as the company expands.

 

As Senior Accountant, your responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. In addition, you will also be involved in booking expense accruals as well as Staffing and P&L variance analysis. As a successful Senior Accountant, you will combine your excellent analytical skills with your thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Your duties will also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to

General ledger accounting including preparation, posting and documentation of journal entries.
Monthly reconciliation/research of the balance sheet accounts and bank accountsAssist with budget and trend variance reports at month end with an explanation of variancesAssist with audit/tax at year endSpecial projects and reportsFinancial Diligence and Integration for Acquired companiesProperty Tax Returns Qualifications

Qualifications include but are not limited to

Bachelor’s degree requiredMinimum Two (2) years in an accounting role, preferably in a healthcare industryStrong computer proficiency with MS Office (Specifically Excel)Solid knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresStrong Analytical mindsetEffective communicator with solid interpersonal skillsDetail oriented with the ability to multi-taskMulti-location accounting experience preferredMicrosoft Dynamics experience is a plus
