Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant II with analytical and leadership skills to review fixed assets transactions, analyze fixed assets reports, and mentor other members of the fixed assets team. This position also requires keen attention to details.

 

A Day In The Life:

Review fixed assets additions report for data integrity, and ensure that assets are classified to the correct categories for depreciation and tax regulation purposes. Review closed stores report in Lucernex (Lx) and timely disposal of non-serviceable assets.Perform monthly close and analysis for fixed assets accounting. Prepare journal entries and accrual review.  Develop schedules and reports to investigate variances and analyze drivers. Ensure data integrity. Prepare work papers and roll forwards, supporting schedules and documentation to support month end close. Provide general accounting support and analysis to various departments. Respond to ad-hoc analyses and reporting requests from internal business partners as well as external auditors.  Mentor other staff and accountants within the department.  Provide required support for external auditors and internal auditors.Interface Fixed Assets transactions from Accounts Payable (AP) to Project Accounting (PA) and perform in depth analysis by reconciling AP report to PA report; independently address all variances by collaborating with the project accounting team and other pyramid groups.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field5+ years of relevant experienceFixed Assets experience requiredProject Accounting knowledge preferredOracle Financials (EBS) experience preferred: Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Project AccountingAdvanced proficiency in ExcelStrong analytical skills coAbility to work independently with minimal guidanceKnowledge of COGNOS Analytics and Noetix Views a plus

Scope and Impact:

Company-wide reporting and accounting.

Responsible for the integrity of reports delivered to functional areas. 

Interact with Finance management and management across other functional areas. 

Contribute to process improvements.
