Senior Accountant (Job 3014078)

Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting with the accounting operations for the capital accounting process. This role will report to the Accounting Team Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the capital asset function to ensure assets are capitalized on a timely basis and accounted for in accordance with GAAP. Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules. Prepare account reconciliations and resolve any variances in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with team members from other functional areas as well as external sources. Comply with internal controls and best practices. Initiate process improvements to increase efficiency of financial close and accuracy of financial accounts. Support the financial reporting team as needed for preparation of the Form 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings as needed. Provide information as needed to internal and external auditors. Support special projects as needed.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field. Master’s degree in accounting or MBA. CPA certification (preferred).

Experience:

5+ years of experience in accounting or related field. Experience with capital accounting guidance under ASC 360 and ASC 350 (preferred). Experience with lease accounting guidance under ASC842 (preferred). Must be organized and detail oriented, possess a systems background, be flexible, able to work independently, have good oral and written communication skills, and have worked in a medium to large corporate environment. Understand accounting concepts apply them. Comfortable with and able to utilize computer technology; strong Microsoft Excel user. Demonstrated ability to thrive and respond in a fast-paced environment. Analytical thinking skills. Experience with ERP ledgers systems is preferred (Oracle).

This role requires you to be onsite at our Boca Raton, FL headquarters three days a week. The other two days are remote, offering the flexibility you need while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
