Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting - Hybrid

Role Summary

This role will be an integral part in the Corporate Accounting SEC reporting team and be responsible for quarterly 10Q/10K reporting, as well as monthly accounting for the parent companies.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for certain US GAAP financial reporting activities for The Cigna Group, including disclosures supporting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.Ensure satisfaction of disclosure requirements listed per GAAP Disclosure Checklist.Support monthly close for the parent companies.Participate in special projects such as the implementation of new technology, adoption of new accounting guidance and associated restatement of prior period financials, etc.Support SOX compliance and external audit processes.

Qualifications

CPA designation preferredPrior experience in public and/or corporate accountingStrong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumenAbility to quickly learn and adoptAttention to detailsAbility to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines and ability to multi-task.Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
