One of Aston Carter's top clients, a publicly-traded world leader in chemical manufacturing, is looking for a Senior Accounting Consultant to assist with and ongoing project that requires expertise in standard costing, FP&A, and working capital, in addition to strong Microsoft Excel skills - pivot tables, vlookups, xlookups, macros, etc. This position provides the opportunity to partner with one of the most recognizable companies in the area and is perfect for someone looking to sharpen their skills in technical analysis. Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with various departments to develop and manage budgets and forecasts. Prepare financial models and projections to support business planning.Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute financial reports, providing insights into cost trends and performance to aid senior management in decision-making.Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings. Utilize tools like Excel and financial software for data analysis.Business Partnering: Work closely with other departments, such as operations and engineering, to understand their financial needs and provide support in managing their budgets.Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of experience with standard costing and inventory.3+ years of experience working with a manufacturing organization with a revenue of $500 Million+ and/or has either multiple lines of business, and/or international functions, and/or is a matrixed organization3+ years working within large data sets in excel5+ years of experience in a mid to SR level cost or FP&A role.Experience with SAP within past 5 years of careerExperience with cost, actuals, standard, costing, variance, and inventory reporting for 150+ SKUsProficient in Excel (Create pivot tables, v-lookups, SUMIF's)Must be willing to commit to an assignment at minimum through end of March with potential to extend into Q4 2025 and beyond
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in plant manufacturing accounting.Experience with SAP Product Costing.Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).Advanced Excel skills, including Macros.Work Environment3 days hybrid onsite - Tuesday - ThursdayReport to Global Head of Management Reporting and Director of Global FP&APay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr.
