TITLE: SENIOR ACCOUNTING Manager
LOCATION: Mexico City, office based
Grade: 13
The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Americas Accounting Senior Manager and is responsible for overseeing the quality of balance sheet account balances by supporting on-time month end close, administrating account reconciliations quality assurance program, contributing to balance sheet analytics and supporting local statutory and tax audits.
Administrate regional account reconciliation by approving reconciliation assignments, assessing account risk profiles, and coordinate the reconciliation quality program.Track account reconciling items, oversee timely resolution of reconciling items, and assess root causes to drive process and systems improvement.Manage Balance Sheet Flux analytics to ensure complete and accurate accounting transactions within the reporting period.Prepare Americas Quarterly Risk Review documentation and track resolution of open risk items.Contribute to on-time month-end close including preparing accruals, reviewing and approving journal entries, reviewing account trends, and providing analysis as required.Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities.Perform, test, and walk through SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement any new controls on existing or new processes, including updating/creating process documentation, collaborating with business process owners, etc.Review complex and unusual transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.Initiate and lead ad hoc projects and process improvement with minimal supervision.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting10+ years of related corporate accounting experienceStrong knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reportingMicrosoft Excel medium to advanced userStrong analytical skills, ability to research issues in a complex accounting structure to resolve problems; detail-oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at broader level.Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to multi-task while working with a variety of individuals in both team and self-directed environments.Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of managementAbility to work within defined time constraints and within deadlines during month end financial close while driving longer-term projects to successful completion.Preferred Qualifications
