The Senior Accounting Manager will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. The manager will lead a group of accountants to ensure transparency in the company's Financial Statements.
What You'll Do:
Ensure financial goals and objectives are met and communicated and drive any necessary ongoing financial process improvements. Prepare and review reports in support of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Review reconciliations in support of financial statements Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams in analysis and reconciliation of accounts and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls Manage the monthly financial close process, including Billing, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation Document month-end closing processes and checklists Participate in the ongoing development of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes. Participate in strategic financial projects including software upgrades Ensure compliance with internal control policies Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance Interacts at all levels with other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud Prepare summary feedback of financial statements variances to budgetWhat You'll Bring:
CPA required Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or higher, with knowledge of US GAAP 7+ years experience working for a company with annual audits, prefer public company experience Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for collaboration internally and externally Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Technical thought leader Intermediate to advanced excel skills and proven success working in other financial software Well-honed attention to detail to ensure completion and accuracy on all tasks and projects An ability to resolve issues as they arise and utilize forward-thinking to generate process improvements, as neededThe expected base salary range for this position is $140,000-$150,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
