​​​​​​As a Senior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for the supervision of the operation of a team within the Unit. Oversees the accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports. Ensures operating controls, internal policies and procedures are implemented effectively. Reviews and approves adjustments and accounting entries. Handles the maintenance of various systems (Eq, Gl derivation, Oracle). Manages and oversee the projects and performance of the team.

Demonstrates proficiency in operational activities by acting as officer-in-charge when the Section Head is unavailable and serving as pool for the preparation of the work assigned to members of the team Reviews reports and ensures reportorial requirements are met and submitted on time Understands relevant policies, legislation, accounting standards, regulations and tax principles and corresponding implications to Sbc through timely and accurate preparation of complex regulatory reports, supervision and review of financial analysts work and performance of period-end close duties on the Bank’s regulatory ledgers and financial reporting systems. Takes accountability and ownership of standardized and efficient operational processes assigned to the candidate and to the candidate’s team members. This includes identifying and resolving data quality issues and leading in continuous improvements to address these issues Oversees the process review and improvement of processes including projects assigned to the team Review the unit’s manual of Policy and Procedures and Slas. Ensures that these are implemented accordingly Ensures that controls are in place to mitigate risks are being observed by the team in all work processes being performed
