This vital role in our growing company is open due to our rapid expansion. We are looking for someone who can recommend process improvements and automation, own month end and audit process and develop internal controls to manage operational and financial risks and be a leader. We are looking for someone who is a problem solver, who can find process enhancement opportunities and be a voice to help us grow! There would be travel to our HQ in San Jose at least once a month for month end close and initially for training for a few weeks to get you up and running.
Your role and responsibilities:
Preparing and/or reviewing month close activities including:
Prepaid expenses, Accrued expenses, PTO accruals Intercompany journal entries, net margins and understanding of such Fixed assets maintenance, depreciation and write offs Reviewing margin analysis GAAP analysis is nice to have
AP & Travel claims process including:
Perform and / or review reconciliations Audit support
Supervisory Duties including:
Hiring, training and supervising accounting staff Process improvements & automation Review and analyze current processes in order to provide recommendations and solutions for opportunities to streamline and further automate existing processes. Help design internal controls to manage operational and financial risks Support implementing of new tools (for accounting & reconciliations) Assist with special projects as needed and help us scale with growth

Education
CPA highly desired as you will be working with our auditors
Experience
8+ year experience tech industry or accounting firm ( A mix of Big 4 Audit and private experience would be ideal) Experience with tools such as Intacct, Netsuite, Blackline is desirable Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Doc and Google Sheet Startup environment in a changing company experience and the ability to be nimble, make decisions and work at light speed is important Accuracy and great attention to detail Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines Excellent organizational, communication and follow-up skills High energy and self-motivated This is an individual contributor role that is very hands on and highly transactionalWhat can Astreya offer you?
