Senior Accounts Payable Manager
Description Robert Half is representing an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Manager with a well established but rapidly growing company in Baton Rouge. This role involves overseeing all activities related to the accounts payable department, including invoice and payment processing, account reconciliation, and team management. Responsibilities: • Oversee accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable transactions • Supervise the Accounts Payable team, setting goals and evaluating performance • Ensure team compliance with established policies, procedures, and best practices • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate information flow and proper handling of transactions • Manage the payment cycle, ensuring vendor payments are made according to terms • Conduct regular reconciliations of Accounts Payable sub-ledger to the general ledger • Prepare and present Accounts Payable reports for management, highlighting significant trends, outstanding liabilities, and cash flow requirements • Oversee the vendor management approval process • Assist in cash flow forecasting by providing insights into outstanding payables and payment schedules • Implement automated solutions and systems to increase efficiency • Stay updated with the latest accounting principles and best practices for accounts payable processing. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for the management and organization of financial data. • Capable of efficient Data Processing to ensure accurate and timely financial reports. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management. • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial, including the ability to manage and oversee all AP operations. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles and practices to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, including the ability to manage and reconcile such transactions. • Proven experience in Process Improvement, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance highly preferred For confidential consideration, contact Hayley Euper at 504-383-0704 or apply today!
