Stantec is looking for a detail oriented and proactive individual to come in and become our Senior Accounts Payable Specialist. You will be expected to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and provide guidance and support to potential additional hires. Working in collaboration with our entire accounting team in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the individual will be responsible for reviewing accounts payable transactions and supporting the implementation and documentation of all financial regulatory requirements. This opportunity is located in Manila, Philippines. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Processing high volume of accounts payable invoices in an electronic environment. + Participate in the online audit of expense reports and ensure compliance with audit regulations. + Responsible to train & mentor new employees coming in. + Provide timely customer support and assistance through communication with Stantec offices. + Communicate with vendors as required. + Assist in providing audit documentation requests. **Job Requirements** + Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. + Experience with international processing for Accounts Payable is a plus + Understanding of accounting concepts, principals and standards. + Proficient in MS Office. + Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors and employees. + Oracle Accounts Payable experience is an asset. + Travel may be required for this role. + Ability to work the night shift schedule.
