Job Description
Performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient processing and maintenance of Accounts Payable transactions. Trains and mentors Accounts Payable Specialists and supports the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Assigned various tasks and projects by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
ResponsibilitiesReview assigned disbursement requests for accuracy, required approvals, and adherence to Firm Policy.Review expense reimbursement requests for accuracy, required approvals, documentation including attached receipts, and adherence to Firm and IRS Policy.Prepare and perform check runs. Post transactions for payment based on established disbursements protocol for the following: the person, Next Check Run, Diverted, Foreign, and General.Monitor aging invoices and follow established escalation protocol to ensure timely payment.Monitor aging expense reimbursements with a pending status and follow established escalation protocol to ensure timely payment and IRS compliance.Field questions for internal and external customers.Mentor Accounts Payable Staff, offering guidance from a training perspective.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAccounts Payable Specialist experienceCheck RunsInvoice processingAccounts payableInvoicingVendor reconciliationsExcellent organizational skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHS Diploma/GED required (verification needed)3 years experience as an AP SpecialistKnowledge of general accounting proceduresComputer skills required to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and 10-keyWork Environment
This position will be remote but must be in the general area of a local office. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. You will have the ability to gain experience with one of the nation's largest international law firms while working within a remote environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $43.00/hr.
