Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Description Summary

Maintains and analyzes activities in the accounts payable/receivable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintains accurate records and control reports. Contacts past due accounts to verify and/or negotiate outstanding account balance. Maintains cash receipts and refers accounts to collection agencies. May recommend improvements to accounts payable/receivable processes.

Job Description

Consistently produces results that exceed expectations in time frames that benefit the project/team.Meets accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.Meets accounts receivable financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.Collects customer accounts by contacting customers referred by clerks; investigating circumstances of non-payment; negotiating and resolving conflicts; expediting payment.Supports financial planning by forecasting cash.Updates accounts receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions.Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.Maintains accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions.All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

BA/BS degree preferred

5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable, preferrable in the automotive industry

Intermediate to advanced Excel level

Knowledge of OEM customer portals preferred
