Primary Role Responsible for compilation and submittal of invoices to contract based customers. Supporting accounts receivable tasks such as reporting, metrics, and status. · Respond to customer requests Determine and change billing processes for efficiency and control improvements Key Accountabilities Prepares invoices to submit to customer’s ensuring appropriate support is provided to confirm it is a receivable. Certain invoices will require being done within federal contract guidelines. Resolve customer questions on invoices. Monitor invoice aging and escalate unpaid invoices to the business to follow up on. Research and resolve cash application issues. Support accounting with journal entries when needed. Interfaces/liaises with the accountants, business finance, business operations, clients, and cash department on creating invoices and resolving invoice issues.  Assists with special projects and initiatives to optimize the effectiveness of existing business applications, technologies and systems and to build efficiencies/improvements into current business processes. Knowledge/Skills A thorough understanding of requirements for managing accounts receivable invoices and payments Understanding of processes necessary to ensure appropriate handling of customer records Ability to clearly communication in written correspondence to customers · Advanced and thorough knowledge of SAP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat, and internet skills are required. Understanding of invoicing customers according to federal contract guidelines Experience/Education High school diploma or state recognized Educational Equivalency Certificate Three to five years administrative experience Work Schedule Hybrid work schedule 3 days in the office 2 days offsite.  Competencies Champions safetyCollaboratesCultivates innovationCustomer obsessedDrives ResultsNimble learning
