Your Role: Our successful Senior Accountant promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. Keys to Success in this Role: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + A minimum of three (3) years progressive Accounting experience is required. + Experience supervising and staff development is preferred. + Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2003 or greater is required. + Experience with accounting and purchasing software (Great Plains and Stratton Warren) a plus. + Assist with fiscal month end closing including financial statement preparation, general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis. + Assist with the annual budgeting process. + Assist with all aspects of various audit engagements including but not limited to: Financial, Workers Compensation, Insurance, and New York State Gaming Commission. + Oversee timely reconciliation of corporate bank accounts. + Oversee and maintain Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure and Prepaid schedules. + Review and prepare AP and AR transactions. + Assist with monthly physical inventory and cost of goods sold calculation. + Maintain integrity of internal controls and proper accounting practices. + Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. + Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. + Promote outstanding customer relations. + Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally Why Saratoga Casino Hotel? + Competitive wages and benefits (Health, Dental, and Vision) + Long term opportunities for growth and advancement + A robust employee recognition program with an annual awards dinner + Discounts here and at other local retail stores and service providers + Team Member celebrations for holidays and other special events + 401(k) and Roth IRA plans with immediate vesting and employer match up to 4% + Hands for Hope- voluntary program for Team Members to dedicate their time to help uplift causes and organizations that have a positive impact on our community + Delicious FREE meals in team dining! + And so much more!
