Senior Acquisition and Systems Engineering Analyst
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Acquisition and Systems Engineering Analyst** to join our team in **Washington, D.C.** This is a hybrid position with 1 – 2 days a week onsite. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Provide Acquisition Systems Engineering expertise to properly apply systems engineering policies and processes and ensure high workmanship standards and compliance with DHS and CBP systems engineering standards / procedures + Assist Government Lead Systems Engineers (LSEs) in preparing Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) Tailoring Plans for program management staffing and provide oversight, assist in chairing program-level review boards, including engineering, configuration, risk, and test review boards (as cited in the program / project SELC Tailoring Plan) development and provide technical leadership of engineering documents as identified in the program/project SELC Tailoring Plan + Aid in technical matters related to programs and technical direction working closely with Program Managers; adhere to Program Management principles and work collaboratively with all engineers on the program/project; provide technical risk assessments and mitigation options to the Program leadership in accordance with the risk management process + Work with LSE to ensure the participation of engineering resources (i.e., specialized analysis, systems analysis and evaluation) to support the program integrated project teams and working groups + Assist the LSE in ensuring technical integrity of all technical baselines, as defined in DHS 102-01- 001, Appendix B and the CBP Program Lifecycle Process Guide and assist in ensuring technical coordination for all developmental tests and assessments, collecting and evaluating technical information for market research + Maintain comprehensive awareness of the programs and contract’s progress with respect to cost, schedule and performance as an enabler to informed decision making and advise program leadership when the program has achieved the technical review exit criteria + Keep program leadership apprised of technical developments, issues and readiness to enter into SELC technical reviews and provide a technical assessment of the findings of the technical review and provide support to the Chairs of the Technical Review Board **Minimum Qualifications:** + 10+ years relevant Program Management experience in acquisition and technical management support in the oversight, development, and deployment of operational systems, with preference with military or government activity + Experience equivalent to a PMI PMP or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Level II or III Program Manager Certification (Actual PMP or DAU certification desired) + Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills + Requires a detail-oriented self-starter experienced in supporting/interfacing with senior Government leaders and other technical/business professionals + The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle **Preferred Qualifications:** + Previous Customs and Border Protection (CBP) experience + Experience with DHS joint operations, DHS acquisition policy, DHS systems engineering lifecycle + Technical writing experience **Clearance Requirements:** + Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust prior to starting this position **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer + The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and clients, which may involve delivering presentations ad must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations ManTech International Corporation, as well as its subsidiaries proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
