What the day will look like We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Risk and Capital Modeling Technology team, which delivers high quality cutting-edge solutions and projects to support our colleagues and clients. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in meeting the expectations of our clients and enhancing Aon’s Capital Modelling Solution Suite, encompassing the Tyche Capital Model (‘TCM’) and ReMetrica tools. This role is expected to predominantly focus on the TCM product, although opportunities to work on other parts of the solution suite will be available. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, enjoy product development/coding, and working with both clients and team members on bespoke model builds. In addition, they would possess exceptional communication skills and have a capital modeling background. This role is within Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group (STG). Day to day activities will include: Model development: o Working in a multi-disciplinary team to design, implement, and review capital modeling solutions for (re)insurers o Leading the development work on new initiatives, including project planning/governance and perform coding tasks as required o Staying up to date on all development work and new software features Client delivery and prospecting support:  o Liaising with clients to gather business requirements on bespoke model builds and perform development tasks as the technical leader o Assisting in on-boarding new clients and implementation projects, working with the US P&C Actuarial Consulting team and the Platform Delivery team. o Delivering demos of Tyche and TCM to prospects and existing clients o Supporting prospecting of new opportunities through trials Team-centric outlook: o Collaborating with other team members, including those in the London office. o Supporting and training users of our systems o Communicating (written and verbal) with internal key stakeholders and clients How this opportunity is different STG is Aon’s new global consulting and technology business focused on, but not limited to, insurance and reinsurance companies and other participants in the insurance industry. Our consulting team provides a full breadth of actuarial services including Tyche implementations and developing solutions in Tyche. We have a strong team of exceptional developers, and our IT team offer fully hosted solutions. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the P&C Insurance sector in an actuarial role 2+ years of experience in the P&C Insurance sector in a risk and/or capital modeling role 2+ years of experience at coding (Python, SQL desirable) and developing modeling solutions Technical knowledge of capital modeling techniques Education: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, a related field, or equivalent years of industry experience. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $125,000 to $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
