Senior Advanced Software Engineer

Bloomington, MN

Contract Position

$60.93-$65.93/Hour 

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

Develop and test embedded systems, products, and services that protect national security and support military personnel.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.Experience:8+ years of job-related experience (6+ years with a Master’s degree).Expertise in C, C++, and Python programming languages.Proficiency in embedded software development, Linux, RTOS, and hardware/software integration.Experience with DO-178 compliant software engineering life cycles.Agile development experience preferred.Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.Demonstrated success in leading the software development lifecycle and solving complex technical challenges.Strong communication skills for securing stakeholder buy-in and collaborating across teams.Commitment to professional growth and mentoring team members.Preferred Skills:Advanced technical expertise in embedded software solutions.Hands-on experience with technical standards and methodologies to meet stringent security and operational requirements.
