As a Senior Advanced\nSoftware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing\nand implementing advanced software solutions for our EGPWS (Enhanced\nGround Proximity Warning Systems) product line, within the\nCommunications, Navigation, and Surveillance Center of Excellence. You will report directly\nto our Senior Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Deer\nValley, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

You\nwill work on projects that involve advanced algorithms, data\nanalytics, and real-time systems. Your work will directly impact the\nefficiency and reliability of our products, as well as deploying new products\nand functions that enhance safety within the aviation industry,\nensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Develop and implement advanced software solutions for EGPW\nproductsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define\nproject requirementsDeliver high-quality software\nsolutionsContribute to the development of innovative software\nsolutions for avionics systemsEnsure the highest level of quality and customer\nsatisfaction in software deliverableCoordinate with\ncustomers / auditsAble to independently manage and lead mid-size projects from\nstart to finishWork with and mentor junior engineersStrong knowledge of Software lifecycle and\nCertification aspects of SW components.Able to read and write\nspecifications to create software requirements.Able to decompose high-level systems requirements into\nlow-level software requirements.Create, maintain and\nqualify software development and verification tools.U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics5+ years of experience in software developmentProficiency in programming languages such as C++ and PythonStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsWE VALUEMaster's degree in Computer Science or related\nfieldExperience in developing software for aerospace or\nsafety-critical systemsKnowledge of advanced algorithms and data analyticsFamiliarity with real-time systems and embedded\nsoftware developmentKnowledge of version control systems, specifically Git / Bitbucket.Strong understanding of RTCA and ARINC industry\nstandards.Working knowledge of DO-178.Strong understanding of DOORS or similar requirements\nmanagement system.Experience with embedded software and real-time\noperating systems.
