Here’s where you’ll be focusing:Planning and executing DE&I initiatives/ strategy
Responsible for planning and execution of initiatives that contribute to achieving the organizational-wide DE&I strategy Supports the development and implementation of inclusive practices and behaviors system-wide
Partnering/ Networking to achieve actions
Partner with Manager and relevant stakeholders to build and provide input on DE&I strategy Propose ideas for tactical initiatives and ways to measure their impacts in collaboration with DE&I team to expand initiatives to drive the DE&I agenda Partner with functional leadership teams to build capability and embed DE&I in everything we do Partner with HR teams (Office, Retail and Warehouses) to ensure teams are aligned on priorities and supported Network internally and externally at events related to diversity and inclusion Represent the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and goals with internal and external stakeholders
Coaching/ advising
Coach, advise and support the business on DE&I topics, challenges and opportunities to ensure inclusive practices Provides guidance and coaching to create proactive solutions and drive success in achieving DE&I objectives
Supporting Learning and Development
Strengthen leadership capability around diversity and inclusion via multiple interventions including but not limited to workshops and training. Facilitate training and deliver presentations related to diversity and inclusion initiatives
DE&I expertise
Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contacts in field (e.g. professional associations, partners) Demonstrates subject matter expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion along with change management Work with HR teams to develop awareness of diversity and inclusion priorities and awareness of unconscious bias Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain input and engagement related to diversity and inclusion initiativesWhat you have to offer: An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Fully bilingual in English and French (the candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada) Experience in the development and delivery of processes, tools and programs Experience in facilitation and delivering presentations Experience in retail operations Excellent communication skills including presenting and facilitating Highly motivated to promote and champion diversity and inclusion Self-motivated and outside of the box thinking Ability to take ownership of projects Ability to create and manage relationships, both internal and external Ability to communicate, influence and work in a collaborative manner

The salary range for this position in British Columbia is $91,000.00 - $119,000.00 . We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
