The Senior Advisor will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for RMNCAH/FP.
S/he will provide overall oversight of technical support to the Ministry of Health at National and County Levels. S/he will coordinate with technical staff and project partners to provide high-quality support across the FP/RMNCAH thematic areas of implementation. The Senior Advisor will support the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the workplan.
Responsibilities Provide overall technical guidance and leadership for the implementation of activities within the FP/RMNCAH and menstrual hygiene management technical areasContribute to the capacity building of staff and MOH competences in FP/RMNCAH knowledge and skillsWork with MOH’s Divisions or Departments to support development and review of policies, trainign materials, tools and strategies to improve county access to FP/RMNACH. Review and synthesize data for programmatic performance monitoring of FP/RMNCAH and utilize the data to sustain and/or take corrective actionsProvide guidance and support to field staff to coordinate and link initiatives of other partners in supporting health facilities in service deliveryRepresent the organization in national and county technical committees including TWGs, committees of experts, and stakeholders’ meetings related to the areas of programmingProvide necessary support to ensure the successful implementation of activities, including technical oversight, work planning, budgeting, reconciliation of finances towards effective and cost-efficient implementation of activitiesIn collaboration with staff, prepare and track the progress of activities and budgetsLead the preparation of quarterly and annual technical reports for submission to funding agenciesOversee the technical quality of all the deliverables by consultants and sub-awardeesAs needed, provide technical support to sub-awardeesProvide leadership in the writing of abstracts for conferences and manuscripts for publicationPerform other duties as may be allocated by the Project DirectorPerform the duties of the Project Director in an acting capacity in the absence of the Project Director

Required Knowledge (Functional or Technical):
Adequate experience in writing reports, and developing conceptsGood analytical, communication and report writing skillsGood interpersonal skills and teamworkComputer literacy, particularly in the use of MS Office
