Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, talented, and inventive Senior AI Applied Scientist/Engineer to join our newly formed AI Labs. This hybrid role will focus on rapid experimentation around AI solutions. You will play a crucial part in shaping the future of Generative AI and AI applications within active asset management, influencing AI design and implementation across the firm.
 

Role Summary & Job Responsibilities:

Rapid Prototyping and Experimentation: Design, iterate, and execute experiments swiftly, developing prototypes that can be tested and validated in real-world scenarios.Consultation and Collaboration: Provide expert consultation to various teams including teams that may decide to take something you have worked on beyond the prototype stage.Solution Performance Evaluation: Assess the performance of AI-centric systems and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization. Evaluate the performance of 3rd party AI-enabled products.Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends, research, and developments in Generative AI, machine learning, and AI technologies to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of innovation.Knowledge Sharing: Act as a conduit of knowledge and education, contributing to the institutional knowledge and firm-wide education on AI advancements by helping with training programs, thought leadership writings, etc.
 

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in AI/ML with 5+ years of related experience OR equivalent experience.Proficient in Machine Learning, NLP, AI, GAI, deep learning, LLMs, multimodal GAI models, transformers, statistical language models, computer vision, etc.Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and self-sufficiency.Technical Skills: Strong coding skills in languages like Python, Java, and experience with deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch). Proficiency and practical experience with data processing, prompt engineering, content engineering, fine tuning, RAG, model quantization, Open AI/Azure Open AI APIs, etc., and other APIs across the hyperscalers and beyond. Experience with multiple open-source (G)AI models & tools. System development skills for rapid research prototypes.Business Knowledge: Industry Awareness: Understanding of compliance, sales, and investment applications. Research Impact: Proven track record of research efforts leading to significant product impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with reinforcement learning and vector databases.Competitions, hackathons, etc

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work up to three days a week.

Base salary range:

$144,000 - $247,000 USD

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
