Senior AI Data Analyst

Join our AI Innovation Lab in Wexford, Ireland, as a Senior AI Data Analyst, and drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions for Equifax UK&I. You will be instrumental in shaping our data and insights strategy, leading key projects, and providing technical and strategic expertise. Play a key role in the AI Innovation Lab, supporting the design, management, and delivery of analytical insights and solutions through data analysis, data management, and data science. Primary activities include delivering technical, business strategic expertise, and ensuring proper governance of data sources, models, attributes, and analytic platforms. Accountable for the data and insight strategy and its execution for the company. Providing thought leadership both internally and externally regarding the use and application of data and analytics for competitive advantage. This role demands strong AI and machine learning skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to mentor and lead within a collaborative team. Proven ability to collaborate effectively. Passion for pushing the boundaries of AI. Lead from the data analysis perspective and contribute to AI projects. Team to develop and implement AI models. Mentor junior analysts. Conduct data analysis and interpretation. Stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends and technologies.



What you’ll do:

Works in Data and Analytics to independently design projects to meet business needs

Leverage advanced techniques to create code that is optimized, efficient, repeatable and scalable

Use analytical insights to develop solutions, improved processes and work with counterparts in the business to implement proposed solutions

Understand ingestion prioritizations, analyse, understand and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate them into project design. Acts as a domain and/or technical lead to more junior members

Package, summarize, visualize and perform storytelling on analytical findings and results for management and business users

Solve complex internal or customer analytical problems across various business domains and areas of expertise

Ability to talk to impact and strategic importance of findings on the business (either Equifax or external customer) and recommend appropriate course of action; ability to advocate to implementation of solutions and improved processes as well as share the qualitative and quantitative elements to drive value and share the "so what' out of the analysis being performed. 

Ensure proper use of Equifax data assets by working closely with data governance and compliance professionals


What experience you need: 

BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline

5-7 years of experience in a related analyst role

Cloud certification strongly preferred

Technical capabilities including SQL, BigQuery, R, Python, MS Excel / Google Sheets, Tableau, Looker

Experience working as a team and collaborating with others on producing descriptive and diagnostic analysis. Experience working with non-technical partners to explore new capabilities and data monetisation opportunities

Intermediate or good level understanding and experience with Google Cloud Platforms and overall cloud computing concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other cloud environments

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience needed to operate independently with limited guidance and oversight

Applies a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems

Makes decisions within guidelines and policies that impact a range of customer, operational, process, or project activities

Develops work plans for short-term assignments of moderate or high complexity

Solid experience in data analysis, machine learning, and AI development

Hands-on experience with cloud-based AI platforms and tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and presentation and visualisation skills
