SUMMARY
The Senior Allocator, Inventory Planning and Replenishment, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing allocation and replenishment processes to ensure the right products are in the right stores at the right time. Working with minimal supervision, this role partners with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Logistics, Marketing, and Store Operations, to develop and execute strategies that maximize sales, manage inventory levels, and control costs. The Senior Allocator also leads the analysis of inventory data, recommends process improvements, and mentors junior team members.

This position will sit onsite 5 days per week in Grapevine, Tx.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute allocation strategies for catalog and new release titles across all U.S. stores, considering sales trends, product availability, inbound timing, and demand forecasts.Utilize advanced allocation tools and methodologies to ensure accurate and timely product distributions.Collaborate with Logistics and Merchandising teams to design and implement distribution and replenishment strategies that maximize sales, minimize inventory, and optimize freight costs.Manage special projects requiring unique allocation solutions, such as promotional items, and other non-standard inventory.Maintain ongoing communication with Distribution Centers (DCs) and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory allocation files.Create, analyze, and maintain detailed reports to identify opportunities for improved inventory performance and to support lean inventory practices.Perform advanced data analysis to ensure store inventory aligns with store sales and customer demand.Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on allocation priorities and strategies.Model GameStop’s core values, including a drive for results, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and maintaining a respectful workplace.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required.5–7 years of experience in retail allocation, inventory planning, or replenishment required; experience in multi-channel retail strongly preferred.Advanced proficiency in allocation and replenishment tools and systems, as well as Windows-based business applications, including Excel.3+ years experience with SQL
