Global Credit is a key pillar of OMERS investment strategy, providing a solid, diversified and reliable income stream for the Plan. The Global Credit team brings together a team of research analysts and portfolio managers across industry sectors, geographies, and parts of the capital structure, with the objective of selecting strong risk-return investment opportunities.

The Senior Analyst will join the Liquid Credit team and will primarily focus on investments in both public and private markets across Structured Credit, Asset Based Finance and Significant Risk Transfers (SRTs).
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Underwriting of public and private credit investment opportunities in the Structured Credit spaceAnalyzing legal and structural elements of transactions, reviewing tranche subordination and default riskConducting stress testing, scenario analysis, and cash flow modeling to assess potential performance under different market conditions.Performing comprehensive credit analysis on underlying loans Assisting with portfolio construction and managementDeveloping relationships with originators, issuers and sell-side representatives to source opportunitiesResearching potential alternative strategies for the portfolioTo succeed in this role, you have:
An undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Math or a related field3-7 years of experience in credit investing or investment bankingKnowledge and understanding of the North American Structured Credit marketPassion for investing and working within a team, helping to foster a collegial team cultureAbility to conduct research, draw insights and convey complex ideas clearly and conciselyStrong analytical skills with experience and financial modelingExperience with single name credit analysis would be a benefitAs one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, our people-first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities where we live and work — and the members we proudly serve.
