POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Analyst, Data Centre Operations will be responsible for effective server provisioning, installation/configuration, patching, vulnerability fix and data center backup operation.
He / She will report to the Manager, Data Centre Operations and will perform routine operation support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs Server administration and monitoring task.
2. Implements, supports, and maintains all hardware, software and infrastructure used for Server administration, Server virtualization, Backup Operation and SEP Antivirus Operation.
3. Performs and records daily data backup and archival of information systems and applications.
4. Attempt troubleshooting of all Data Centre-related incidents and requests.
5. Performs existing documentation, inventory, contact lists, procedures maintenance.
6. Hands-on technical support to customers and IT teams.
7. Coordinates and escorts relevant activities in Data Center and ELV rooms.
8. Creates and updates trouble-tickets.
9. Performs daily reporting as required from time-to-time.
10. Reports work progress status to Manager, Data Centre Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
1. 5 years of relevant enterprise Data Centre experience
2. Possess knowledge in performing data backups and daily reporting\monitoring activities.
3. Relevant technical support experience in IT infrastructure Operations with knowledge of servers, storage, backup environment.
II. Education
1. Possesses Diploma academic or relevant professional qualifications
2. Preferably with CDCP/CDCS certifications
III. Skills / Competencies
1. Linux experience is a strong plus
2. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
4. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
5. Ability to keep pace with a fast-growing company
