Education, experience and skills:

Basic:

University or College degree or 3 years’ experience in executive/management reporting, demonstrated technological process automation skills and/or database management. Experienced with MS Excel VBA or similar basic automation skills Fluent English language capabilities

Preferred:

Experience with application databases and SQL Able to evaluate and resolve problems by setting priorities and to adapt quickly to new situations if necessary. Day-to-day problems often ask for a creative approach and the incumbent is expected to come forth with new ideas as to how problems can be solved or existing processes improved Strong communication skills (writing and speaking) Logical and analytical mind Word processing and typing skills

The main purpose of this position is to provide reporting services to both the FSS organization (including Global Credit, European and North American FAS, European and North American BuyPay etc.) and the various Business Unit Locations of Howmet. Reporting services include running regular reports (downloading data, manipulating report content, providing final output) and providing reporting consultancy services (revamping of complex reports, automating reports, developing new reports). Also, part of the task is to streamline and automate processes and reports as much as possible, using the existing knowledge base and toolset.

Howmet is looking for Senior Analyst to support its Data & Reporting team:

Key activities:

Provide monthly, weekly, daily or ad-hoc reports to internal customers in the Shared Services organization and in various Business Locations of Howmet globally Support special projects, reporting, analysis and process improvements. Assist in integration of the non-Oracle locations into the Howmet reporting system. Answering telephone calls, being first contact to assist customers and peer organizations with any type of questions regarding database queries, reports, reporting systems and trainings Assist in development and maintenance of non-Oracle reporting processes, like QAD, JDE, Thalia etc. systems.  Assist customers and peer organizations with improving existing and developing new queries and reports (Discoverer, SQL, manual, etc.) Create, review and maintain Reporting manuals, SOP-s and working documents Comply with Audit requirements of the corporation Replaces/substitutes other Reporting Team members as per mutual agreement or as per the instructions of the Reporting Team Leader Cross functionality in the various tasks/systems Handle peak periods in a month Maintain/document knowledge for automated reports Helping in the support and usage of AutoMate software Participate in automation initiatives, at least by using AutoMate and/or VBA toolset Document all completed automation items for further maintenance purposes Manage changing source data Keep high quality by implementing checkpoints/controls on reports and automation initiatives
