Whirlpool is looking for qualified candidates for the role of a Senior Analyst, EH&S.

Whirlpool is currently seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Senior Analyst for our Ottawa, Ohio location.  This EHS professional will lead, direct, and support the initiatives to ensure a culture where environmental compliance, protection and reduction of risk are a priority. This position reports directly to the plant's EHS Leader. The EHS Senior Analyst will provide leadership and direction for EHS programs at the site and promote a proactive EHS culture and will also assure compliance with all federal, state and local environmental and EHS regulations, and company EHS policies. This role will support the World Class Manufacturing journey as the site Environment Pillar Lead.

Your responsibilities will include

 

Implement and maintain Environment and Safety legal and company requirementsExecute permit activities and regulatory compliance reporting for the operation as requiredLead World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities as the Environment Pillar Lead and support Safety and Energy Pillar core and floor teamsLead and execute Safety and Environment kaizens & WCM projects as Project/ Technical Team Leader aimed at reducing the organization’s environmental footprint, including waste, water and chemical reductionConduct environmental risk assessments and audits to identify potential issues and recommend mitigation strategiesOversee the investigation and reporting of environmental incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken and lessons learned are shared across the organizationSupport data collection, entry and analysis on key EHS metrics/KPIs & KAIs execution for the siteDevelop, implement, and maintain environmental management system (EMS)Develop and Deliver EHS Training as necessaryManage site Emergency Response TeamManage functional site costs, process payments and track EHS spendingPresent to all levels of the organizationMinimum requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree 2+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety field in a manufacturing environment Preferred skills and experiences

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering or ScienceExperience in large, complex plant environmentExperience in World Class Manufacturing methodologyExperience in complying with PSM & RMP regulationsCommunication and support to 24-hour / day assembly processesKnowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926, NFPA, and environmental regulationsWritten and verbal communication skills required
