This role in summary

 

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of C&Q System Integrator, Senior Analyst, Engineering. This role will be located at our Greenville Manufacturing Site, Greenville, OH.


In this position you will work with the KASA Cost & Quality Team on Small Appliances from Concept through Maintenance of Business.  This role will deliver product leadership through balanced product solutions. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to managing system integration for assigned projects, supporting ideation and scoping for cost and quality opportunities and maintaining manufacturing productivity by resolving factory issues associated with product design.  The system integrator will ensure that project activities are completed on time, meeting product and project requirements, including cost, quality and performance targets. 
 

Your responsibilities will include

 

Responsible for system integration of cost reduction (P4G) and quality improvement (GSIR, TCQ, 5 Star) projects from Planning (Idea Bank) to Execution (G0-G4) through the Whirlpool Product Development process.Responsible for technical problem solving and knowledge gap closure.Development of cost and quality idea bank pipeline and scoping of new initiatives.Evaluate Manufacturing requests to decompose project objectives, scope and constraints and support Day to Day operations.Collaboration with cross-functional teams on project Business Case.Accountable for project schedule and budget (eng. expenses and capital) governance.Delivery of Projects as per commitment to meet P2, P4G and Quality Targets.Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets to support the project plans.Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project plan guardrails, coordinating across KASA Subsystems.Lead technical Design Reviews for the project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails.Responsible for driving full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages.Change management to monitor the changes, risks, actions and decisions during a project.Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V&V Plan.Drive closure of DFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design Validation data and functional performance stacks.Responsible for coordinating Engineering Builds with cross-functional project teams.Minimum requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science5+ years of experience in engineering working with cross functional teams  3+ years of experience in technical project managementPreferred skills and experiences

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience in the Home Appliance industry.Experience in structures, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.Experience in Electrical/Electronic systems.Product development & project delivery methodology experience.Budget management, financial planning and analysis, capital management.Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) knowledge.Knowledge of SAP, Windchill and Creo.Analytical skills, experience in solving practical issues, and engaging cross-functional teams of multiple process partners to a consensus.Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Meet stringent deadlines; handle multiple projects/tasks.Self-driven, proactive and motivated.
