Senior Analyst, Environmental Sustainability Business Systems

Job Description Purpose This position provides direct support to AbbVie’s Global Environmental Sustainability organization. This individual supports the global collection of environmental sustainability data. This individual will oversee the ongoing data collection process and will be responsible for data reporting, data visualization, and annual data assurance. Responsibilities: + Responsible for compliance with applicable Global Environment, Health, and Safety policies and procedures. + Oversees the collection of global environmental sustainability data including energy, greenhouse gas emissions, water, and waste. Develops metrics and publishes reporting on a periodic basis. + Supports the global data collection associated with Scope 3 calculations and Life Cycle Assessment calculations and implements improvements in the maturity of these programs. + Develops improved Global EHS documentation and controls for the data collection process. Assists sites with the development and implementation of site-specific data collection and controls documentation. + Develops improved data visualization, analysis, insight, and tools in partnership with the Global EHS Governance team. + Supports the annual data assurance process in partnership with our external data assurance provider. + Conducts training for new site-level data reporters and assists with their on-boarding. Conducts training as new data collection processes are rolled out. + Analyzes department processes and makes recommendations that are the most effective means to satisfy those needs. Analyses the most complex work procedures and job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures. + Work is performed and technical decisions are made with a high degree of independence and performance judged by results obtained. Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals. Actively participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions. Provides leadership to project Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of technical experience, or Masters Degree plus 4 years technical experience. Experience in an environmental sustainability role is preferred. + Experience in a data analyst role or in an environmental sustainability data role. + Systems testing and IT implementation experience. + Project Management experience. Key Stakeholders + Manufacturing and R&D site data reporters, Global EHS Governance team, Global ESG team, and our external data assurance partner. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
