Job Description The primary objective of the Senior Analyst, Field Planning & Analytics is to support a specific AbbVie Field Force Effectiveness team [“FFE Vertical”] by playing a central liaison role in 3 project areas: field analytics, call planning/targeting, and incentive compensation. Each Senior Analyst would support 2-4 AbbVie sales forces, and 2-6 brands in the AbbVie portfolio. As a member of the Center of Excellence in Field Operations (CoE), this role will act as a primary point of contact for a specific Field Force Effectiveness Director and his/her respective team, and will take a lead role in coordinating analytics & operations in the project areas between the AbbVie stakeholders and vendor partners (including off shore). This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to commute to our Irvine, CA office at least 3 days per week. Responsibilities + Understand strategic and tactical issues, employ appropriate methodologies to analyze data and provide insights and recommendations as it relates to field deployment, customer targeting + Drive multiple complex projects, balancing between short-term and long-term objectives and managing the projects within budget and timelines + Design and deploy optimal solutions that are innovative, add value and meet current and future business requirements + Develop and deliver formal presentations to internal and field teams including Field Ops stakeholders [CoE, FFE Verticals], and sales leadership + Collaborate with peers, Franchise Liaison, Integration teams, and Sales and Marketing leadership on a regular basis. Share successful strategies, best practices, and lessons learned with these constituents + Serve as key liaison between AbbVie stakeholders (both in Center of Excellence and Field Force Effectiveness “verticals”) and vendor partners (including a good number who are located off shore). The role requires a continuous coordination & communication between these partners to ensure adherence with operational timelines; some examples of which include (but are not limited to): + Participate in regular “pod calls” [AM calls scheduled with other AbbVie stakeholders and off-shore vendor partners. Qualifications + BA/BS required to ensure effective understanding and application of business concepts + 2+ years analytical and/or field force planning experience required preferably in the healthcare industry + Has excellent problem-solving orientation and ability to work independently + Has a proven track record of success in transforming data into powerful information for sales/marketing management required + Knowledgeable on a variety of PC programs (including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Demonstrated database querying skills and analytical skills including experience with clustering analysis, Test-Control Analysis, regression analysis, and other statistical techniques + Project manages one or more projects and drives the sales organization and cross functional teams to execute on targeting strategies and tactics + Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: adaptability, teamwork, initiative, innovation, integrity, analytical, leadership, strategic thinking, drive for results, and communication + Statistically Supported Analytics: A successful candidate will be skilled in a variety of analytical techniques. These can include but are not limited to: Regression analysis, Cluster analysis, and Data Visualization. These techniques will be leveraged in order to arrive at statistically & analytically sound recommendations which will then be presented to Brand Executives. + Technology/Software: A high degree of proficiency in several technological areas is paramount to this role. The candidate must have experience with the various IBM SPSS Statistical packages, have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel – including formula writing, pivot tables, and data merges. They must also have experience managing large datasets through software such as Microsoft Access and other proprietary systems.
