Senior Analyst, Financial G&P

The Senior Analyst, Financial G&P is part of the Finance Organization responsible for leveraging their industry expertise and analytical acumen to provide market and business performance insights to the specific business supported. This role is an individual contributor role with developmental opportunity to other FP&A roles.

 

This role will build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to proficiently understand the insights needed to create a competitive advantage for decision making. Also, the role will conduct ad-hoc business analysis to support key initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong understanding of data structures, strong analysis and visualization skills. Given the focus on business insights the candidate will have exposure to leadership and must exemplify strong communication skills and executive presence along with attention to detail in execution.

 

This role is located in Houston, TX or Denver, CO (If the candidate currently resides in Denver).

 

Responsibilities May Include:

Analyzing business data points to summarize and effectively communicate critical insights for key business decision makers. Conducting ad-hoc volumetric or business analysis for business stakeholders. Conducting asset financial reviews with key G&P business stakeholders. Working with Business Development to analyze/model and assess new business opportunities. Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for context understanding and iterating on analytical deliverables. Assisting in the preparation, reporting and analysis of the monthly financial results versus forecast, prior year and budget. Identifying process improvements to effectively condense big data down to meaningful metrics and analytics. Developing and update forecast models and methodologies to align with changes in the business. Performing ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested. Support Midstream Ops FP&A organization with quarterly and annual reporting. Prepare yearly business targets with operations and commercial support.

 

Required Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Bachelors in accounting or finance or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience 3 or more years of finance-related experience in a global energy company Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Ability to work effectively in a team Excellent oral, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to independently resolve complex problems Proven ability to lead and leverage cross-functional resources

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Enterprise systems (SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, FRAP etc 5 or more years of finance-related experience in a global energy company G&P experience

The base pay range for this role is $95,950– $131,000 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
