Perform periodic analysis of key business drivers, preparation of variance analysis, cost studies and general business analysis, also responsible for analysing monthly actual results against budget and forecast as well as a key participant in the annual planning and budgeting process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Participates in the annual planning and budgeting process
Responsible for reviewing and validating financial data, interpreting prevailing trends and preparing reports for management review
Executes the month-end departmental P&L review process
Creates in-depth financial reconciliations as requested by management
Responsible for preparing property level forecasts of key volume indicators and translating these forecasts into financial forecasts
Liaises with senior management and able to explain complicated financial topics in an approachable manner
Responsible for maintaining the upkeep in several aspects of the data warehouse system
Prepares daily reports and periodic trend reports
Analyses a variety of issues on ad-hoc basis as requested by management
Audits departmental operating performance on a periodic basis versus budgetary, historical and industry benchmarks
Manages small to medium scope projects
Performs related duties as assigned
ExperiencePreference is given to candidates with at least three years of progressive work experience in analytical roles
Preference is given to candidates with gaming or hospitality experience
Have a proven track record in developing creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
Education
Must hold a degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of hotel administration/hospitality, finance/accounting, engineering, statistics, business administration or mathematicsPreference is given to candidates with a post graduate degree from a major, accredited institutionSkills / Competencies
Strong financial acumen and have a proven track record in highly numerate and analytical roles
Mature presentation style and be comfortable interacting with senior management continuously
Strong English writing skills
Proficient in all MS Office applications including near expert proficiency in MS Excel
Superior technical skills preferable, specifically with an understanding of VBA, SQL, Tableau , SAS are preferred.
Strong project management skill is a must
Strong interpersonal skill with good work ethics
