Diageo's Shared Service Center plays a crucial role in supporting Diageo’s Latin American markets by delivering high-quality financial, operational, and analytical services. By implementing efficient processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, our function ensures that markets benefit from streamlined operations and enhanced business insights. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is integral to the business operating rhythm, providing insightful data and analysis to drive the long-term sustainable performance of Diageo. A dynamic and integral force within our organization dedicated to driving financial excellence and strategic decision making. Our team plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company, ensuring that every decision aligns with our overarching business objectives.

The FP&A Sr. Analyst is responsible for precise budget control of the "Trade Spend" investment, delivering timely and accurate reports to budget owners. Acting as a business partner to the commercial finance team, the analyst gains a deep understanding of business performance, providing data-driven insights and ensuring mid-term forecast accuracy while identifying associated risks and opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

Track and analyze monthly financial performance, understanding main variances between rolling forecasts and actual figures, as well as against yearly plans and previous year’s data.Participate in the financial cycle, which includes annual operating planning, monthly projections, closing activities, and balance reviews.Coordinate and consolidate the monthly forecast with Commercial Finance Team to ensure an accurate and timely report.Prepare month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals calculation, and customer or brand allocations.Ensure proper control and maintenance of internal orders, keeping an adequate budget assigned to each one.Prepare and deliver financial reports to business partners, providing high-quality information to aid decision-making and assure proper budget control.Keep process documentation updated and accurate.Collaborate in local or global projects related to the Trade Investment Process.Work closely with the Commercial Finance Team to ensure that trade investment figures are accurately posted in the system and align with external sales and profitability goals.

Key Performance Indicators

Forecast Accuracy: Maintain control over monthly accuracy of financial forecasts against actual performance, aiming for 97% accuracy.Reporting Timeliness and Quality: Ensure timely submission of financial reports and forecasts, meeting all deadlines set within the financial cycle while maintaining high data quality.Variance Analysis: Collaborate with Commercial Finance Team to understand variances between actual and forecasted figures, developing the capability to explain any discrepancies.Control compliance: Regularly review and monitor compliance with established controls related to the Trade Investment process to prevent failures and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Experience / skills required:

Education: Degree educated and part qualified - studying for a professional financial qualification.Experience: 3 or more years proved experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment. Language: English Professional working proficiency
