Senior Analyst, Geopolitical and Protective Intelligence

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Geopolitical and Protective Intelligence to join the Intelligence and Risk Analysis team in Global Security!

What you’ll do:

Serve as a team representative for implementing and coordinating the Intelligence and Risk Analysis program and the Protective Intelligence program, partnering closely with other Global Security teams and business partners across the company.

Provide subject matter expertise for geopolitical and security intelligence covering the Americas region. Prepare and present standardized and customized risk intelligence products for various levels of audiences and business verticals to support critical decision making across the company.

Collaborate closely with Global Security teams to help drive effective and efficient end-to-end security risk management solutions for the company.

Work with Global Security management and cross functional partners to develop the Protective Intelligence program. 

Lead support for protective intelligence-related tasks which include proactive threat detection and escalation, threat and risk assessments, POI/GOI investigations, maintaining BOLOs, analyzing staff and team risk profiles, and collaborating with internal and external partners on threat management.

Conduct industry benchmarking and drive continuous innovation to support the Intelligence and Risk Analysis program and Protective Intelligence program.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with key partners and business units across the company, government, law enforcement, public safety, industry partners, and intelligence-sharing organizations.

Develop and maintain I&R business and impact metrics, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure continuous improvement.

Provide knowledge sharing to team members through leadership, mentoring, coaching, and positive role modeling of Snap’s values.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of and ability to apply advanced analytic and investigative techniques and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tradecraft to develop tailored intelligence products

Keen awareness of the current geopolitical environment, particularly in the Americas region, and emerging global security trends

Strong understanding of and interest in corporate security and protective intelligence processes, procedures, and technology systems

Ability to perform under pressure and respond rapidly to breaking situations within tight timelines

Ability to work comfortably in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal direction

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, with ability to present to a wide range of audiences

Ability to drive and maintain credibility, generate trust, and form alliances with internal and external partners

Strong time management, multitasking capability, and attention to detail

Ability to travel as required, both domestically and internationally

Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules, holidays, nights, and/or weekends to support emergencies, time sensitive issues, and to adapt to a 24/7 operation

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, homeland security, political science, international relations, security/intelligence studies, or a related field

3+ years of demonstrated ability as an intelligence analyst, delivering protective intelligence and geopolitical risk analysis within a private sector or public sector organization

Proven experience with commercial intelligence databases and OSINT research tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in political science, international relations, security/intelligence studies, criminal justice, or a related field

5+ years of demonstrated ability as an intelligence analyst, delivering protective intelligence and geopolitical risk analysis within a private sector or public sector organization

Formal training in intelligence analysis and OSINT tradecraft

Prior experience in a multinational organization or the technology/social media industry

Experience with public-private sector partnerships and professional membership organizations such as the Association for Threat Assessment Professionals, Analyst Roundtable, ASIS, AIRIP, etc.

Experience with deep and dark web investigations

Experience with POI and GOI investigations and managing a BOLO program

Experience with building and/or implementing protective intelligence and threat management programs

Experience working with highly confidential information

Experience with data visualization and geospatial mapping tools

Experience with project tracking software such as Jira and Asana

Foreign language fluency

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $94,000-$141,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$134,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
