We have an exciting opportunity for an early career Global Trade (GT) Professional to gain experience and grow their skills as part of the world’s largest aerospace and defense company – RTX Corporation. As part of the Raytheon Legal, Compliance and Contracts (LCC) organization, GT Professionals play a critical role in supporting the successful capture of international pursuits, and the execution of contracts, program and supply chain requirements.   GT Professionals ensure that Raytheon remains compliant with both U.S. and Non-U.S. Export/Import (EX/IM) regulations in all the company’s global business transactions.

This Senior Analyst position will report to a Global Trade Manager in one of five Strategic Business Units:  Advanced Products & Solutions, Advanced Technology, Air &Space Defense Systems, Land & Air Defense Systems or Naval Power.  Please note that this is an export licensing position, not a shipping and logistics position. 

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for working with the Raytheon GT Team and Stakeholders to develop strategies to support international programs and business development capture efforts.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple business functions for success.  The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. 

This position is remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

What You Will Do

Assist with preparing license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA) and other requests for approval to the U.S. Government.

Assist with the development of authorization strategies for the international marketing, sales, support, offshore procurement and manufacturing of defense and dual use articles.

Provide status updates to the programs/stakeholders for awareness

Obtain signed agreements and other required documentation from foreign parties (e.g., DSP-83s, ITAR NDAs, etc.) as applicable

Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements

What You Will Learn

Thoroughly review the scope of the effort with the applicable functions, stakeholders and the foreign parties prior to submittal to ensure all deliverables are considered

Manage day-to-day execution of export/import authorizations with oversight by Global Trade Manager, or Empowered Official, ensuring compliance for all activities under the authorizations

Contribute to learning and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls  

Support interpretations of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) regulations

Assist in identifying compliance concerns to the Manager, Global Trade Program Office, by identifying errors and areas requiring improvement and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. 

Experience in business or contracts or supply chain or international business or legal.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer 

Broad Export/Import experience and increasing responsibility (licenses, agreements, compliance, and transactional activities and application of regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs))

Practical Experience With DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR EASE Tools and/or SAP systems

JD Law Degree

Ability to triage multiple competing actions, to meet deadlines and to prioritize

Problem solver, able to work under time sensitive circumstances, collaboratively or independently

Sincere interest in field of Global Trade operations and its strategic impact on global success

Strong attention to detail

Self-starter who can develop effective networks with internal customers

Willing to take on challenges and accept stretch assignments

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
