Role/Department:
The job requires working for a Global Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position requires good understanding of various investmentinstruments like Equities, Fixed Income Products, Derivatives, Swaps, CFDs, Repos etc. The position requires experience and knowledge in financial markets and back office functions.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Understanding and reconciliations of transactions, security positions and cash activities. Financial instruments type include but not limited to:
o OTC products – Swaps, CFD, etc.
o Equity
o Fixed Income
o Futures and Options
o Custody, Bank & Prime Broker Accounts
o Analyze security and cash positions to identify discrepancies between customer’s position and counter party
o Good understanding of process flow for reconciliation process
o Ensuring the processes are in adherence with SOPs and the same are updated as required
o Should be capable of understanding various control checks
o Should be able to timely escalate all the issues
o Understand risks associated with breaks and trade mismatches
· Understanding the settlement of cash flows associated with various financial instruments
· Should be capable of handling queries in a high volume, time sensitive trading environment
· Ability to work on ad-hoc activities
· Should have the ability to maintain various MIS reports
Accountabilities:
- Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role
- Employees are expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the incumbent is responsible for are organised and controlled
- Employees are required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties
- Position reports to the Team Lead

Skills/ Qualifications:
- Good analytical, numerical, and reasoning skills
- Self-starter with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent spoken and written English and able to write business correspondences
- Ability to work effectively as a team
- Ability to evaluate priority and multi-task with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in financial industry with at least one (1) year in reconciliations-related activities
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, familiarity with financial markets and instruments
- Should be willing to work extended hours or during public holidays
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
